I bought a wireless ac adapter off amazon recently, dizao if that helps. It was to replace a wireless n adapter also realtek that kept dropping signal, but at-least worked.
I initially tried to let windows install the driver, but it told me it encountered a problem. It came with one of those tiny cds, but I don't have a cd drive. I downloaded the driver from the link the manufacturer left on the amazon page and tried to install that, but got the same error. Went to the realtek website ,downloaded the driver, and tried to install, but failed with same error.
I'm not sure what it means when it says it can find the file. Here is the the realtek driver. The one the manufacturer provides looks the same.
I've tried unistalling it in device manager and installing the driver again, starting in safe mode and installing the driver and it keeps giving that error.
